Conference success

Posted on June 9, 2011

Good news on the Conference front. My abstract has been accepted as an oral presentation for the upcoming (7-9 September) EPICOH 2011 conference in Oxford:

A Bayesian mixture modeling approach for assessing the effects of multiple exposures and confounders in case-control studies” (abstract 0018).

Moreover, it will be a busy conference with several of my PhD students also had there abstracts accepted for oral or poster presentation:

– Hanaa Bayomy: “Symptom reporting amongst farmers using pesticides to treat sheep” (abstract 0145)

– Chompunuch Supapvanich: “Glove related latex allergy amongst nursing staff in governmental hospitals, Thailand” (abstract 0447)

– Chalalai Hanchenlaksh: “Exposure to organophosphate pesticides in Thai farmers and their families

While a 3rd PhD student will attend the upcoming ISEE conference:

– Haytham Alhamwi: “Development of a probablistic model for pesticide exposure through sheep dipping” (abstract 736)

But unfortunately, I will attend this conference and wont be able to see him speak.
